W Same issue I'm having. I was just like you guys and then I tried this. Reset the App store, open the run bar and type ' WSReset.exe' and hit enter to reset the Microsoft App store. Once the app store window pops up, to the left of the search bar is the profile button (stick figure head), click it and make sure it is the same email for Microsoft account that you used when you clicked 'Redeem' from your Mojang account screen. If it is, skip to step 7. If it's NOT then proceed to step 3.

Now it will bring you back to the App store window and you will see that same profile button with a little +, click it and click Sign in and then click Microsoft account. Once signed in to the correct Microsoft account, click the profile button again and find 'Redeem a code' and click that.
